In November 2013, I decided to fulfill a passion of mine. I went back to school and attended The Intensive Sommelier Program at The International Culinary Institute in NYC which is an accredited program through the Court of Master Sommeliers. My mother was from Argentina and because of this, I grew up having an appreciation for wine. I became very interested in working in the wine industry and in the summer of 2013, I bought Kevin Zraly's book, Complete Wine Course, which I devoured on a month long trip to Greece.
I happily graduated with my certificate and passed the level 1 exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers in May 2014.
That summer, I traveled on a month long trip to the South of France and visited many vineyards such as Chateau Pibarnon in Bandol. I am currently studying for various wine certifications which I will be taking in early 2017.
